Super 4: Nasarawa Amazons, Delta Queens To Produce NWPL Champions

The champions of the Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL, is expected to emerge between Nasarawa Amazons and Delta Queens, today Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.

Nasarawa ensured their qualification in a 2-2 draw against Delta, thereby topping the group with 7 points while Delta secured their place with 5 points.

Both teams will now battle for the N3million cash prize for the tournament, with the loser of the game having N2million as take home.

Speaking of the Finals with Newsmen, Chairperson of the NWPL Board, Aisha Falode said the Board was excited with the success of the tournament and the increased competition in the League.

Her words. “Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Silas Agera, Asisat Oshoala, who is a product of Robo FC, Edo State government officials and members of the executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will grace the occasion.

“There will be an exhibition match between Robo FC and Edo Queens before the final game.”

Meanwhile, Bayelsa Queens emerged 3rd in the Super 4 having played a 0-0 draw against Rivers Angels in the match day 3.
