Jonathan, Fayose, Others Storm Anambra For Obaze

Former President Goodluck Jonathan will storm Anambra for the flag off of the campaign for Mr. Oseloka Obaze, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in the November 18 poll.

The Obaze rally is scheduled for October 16 at the Holy Trinity Ground in the commercial city of Onitsha , Anambra State, the PDP has announced.

The PDP stated that Jonathan will be accompanied by seven PDP governors, including Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Ayo Fayose (Ekiti), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

A source from the Anambra State PDP caretaker committee led by Prof. ABC Nwosu, said, “Though it's expected that Prof. Nwosu will announce these arrangements any moment from now, I’ m telling you authoritatively that the rally will be a mother of all rallies.

"A former President, Goodluck Jonathan, and seven PDP governors will be here, including governor Wike and Fayose. It has been concluded . The Anambra November 18 election is important to us and we are planning big for it .

“The immediate - past governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi, has done great mobilisation in this project. I have no doubt that the PDP is the party to beat in that election.

“The rally will give the party the opportunity to showcase our good market to the people of the state in the person of Mr. Oseloka Obaze, our governorship candidate and his running mate, Mrs. Chidi Onyemelukwe.

“Obaze’s running mate, like you know, is the first daughter of a former Vice - President , Dr. Alex Ekwueme, while Obaze is a high - grade technocrat. You can’ t beat that, ” the source stated.

Meanwhile, Obaze had assured the PDP stakeholders and the supporters of the party of his commitment to equity and fairness to all if voted to power.
